ASSE ATTREZZATO – CITY OF CATANIA 1ST AND 2ND LOT

Works for the completion of the internal urban road called “Asse Attrezzato” in the City of Catania. This street, with four lanes and highway features with an overall length of about three kilometres has five systems for routing traffic of the crossed neighbourhoods on and off, in overhead way; of these systems three are at ground level and two at overhead level with staggered layout. Works included the execution of 1.5 Km of viaducts made of box girders in pre-compressed reinforced concrete, retaining walls made of reinforced earth with 1.2 average height of about seven meters, road embankments on U-walls, sheet piles made of micro-piles, large diameter piles, bridge piles, pulvinos made of steel and concrete.
