N.R. 429 - EMPOLI-POGGIBONSI SECTION - ITALY

The works for the construction of the Variant to the city of Certaldo (FI), former NR 429 di Val d'Elsa - Poggibonsi - Empoli section, consist essentially in the construction of a two lanes road, total width being 13.50 lm (10.50 of carriageway + 1.50 + 1.50 of side strips). The total length of the track, including interchanges and ramps is 8 km. The main civil works of the road, going from East to West, can be summarized as: Viaduct of segment A, with deck in Pre-stressed reinforced concrete with total length of 860 Lm; Section in embankment with a maximum height of 7.00 lm, with roundabout and link roads with Pr 1 to San Gimignano and the P.r. 95 to Ulignano; - Artisan Viaduct with Corten steel decking of the total length of 440 Lm; - Tunnel of Colle Marcignano with length of Lm 840, excavated in the traditional way (excavation with rib  installation and fiber reinforced shot concrete ) with pre-consolidation of the drilling through GRP pipes and steel micropiles in embankments with curved plane; - Viaduct Casciani with corten steel deck with a total length of 280 Lm; - Tunnel Colle Fogneto I Lm 450; - Tunnel Colle Fogneto II 500 lm as both dug as tunnel Marcignano; - Elsa Valley bottom viaduct in corten steel deck with a total length of 880 Lm; - Section including embankment with a maximum height of 5.00 Lm: - Mulinaccio viaduct with corten steel deck of a total length of 280 Lm; - Final section in embankment with junction ramp with the former NR SS 429.
